This application was to provide the customer a more efficient, reliable and easier. The control system was for 2 of their Plywood presses. Specifications called for a PLC controller (Micrologix 1400), Delta Motion controller (RMC75E) and a 10” color touch screen Panelview (AB COMPACT 2711PC).

The basic operation was to

1. Close the press as quickly as possible.

2. Compress the load to a specified pressure and hold for a time.

3. Then hold again a lower pressure or hold position for another time.

4. Decompress the press.

5. Open the press as fast and safely as possible.
